About Me
Through the darkness of dreams and unconsciousness you
will find me traveling my journey of inequitable justification
of life and the hearts desires; A mere philosopher, artist
and the insatiable dreamer and keeper of faith and hope.
Just not of the mediocre traditions that are carried on
simply because our parents told us to. I support equality,
compassion and justice and strive for that even playing
field where everyone can participate.
As you will see by my art and photography each piece strives
to tell a story, no matter how insignificant. My favorite
art, movies and music all had elements that you have to
see/hear a few times before you totally take in everything.
If I can create something that allows the viewer to see
something different each time they look at it, then I will
feel successful.
Growing up with a disability was a challenge; all around
me people were pouring their ethnocentric ideas into how
they viewed me as a challenged person. Their reactions varied;
some people talked to my mother about me like I wasn't even
there, some people chose not to deal with me at all and
then there were those precious few who actually saw me beyond
my wheelchair and took the time to let me know that and
it inspired me to grow as a person and an artist.
As a contradiction to most stereo types I finished public
school, got married and gave birth to two beautiful healthy
children. My husband expanded my little brood with his beautiful
daughter and we became a very unusual but very loving family.
It is my great hope that you find something here that inspires
you and reminds you that imagination is the foundation for
success.
